Rotary Club of Timmins-Porcupine
The Costello Community Care Centre is pleased to be partners with Rotary Club of Timmins-Porcupine in the annual Timmins Rotary Ribfest event hosted every Canada Day and the 2011 Sunsplash event at the Hollinger Park in Timmins. The Rotary Club helps the Costello Centre finance infrastructure projects such as furnace replacement and painting of the exterior of the building. The benefit of being a partner with the Rotary Club is getting exposure to the community and letting the community know what the Costello Community Care Centre is all about. We are proud partners with the Rotary Club for the past Ribfest on 2012,through 2015. The CCCC also partnered with the Rotary Club for three events (Summer Splash, Canada Day and the Kayak Challenge) in the summer of 2016.

Ontario Trillium Foundation
The Costello Community Care Centre has successfully qualified for a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to replace the furnace boiler system in the building. With the Ontario Trillium Foundation funds, the CCCC can ensure that the building will have a reliable and more efficient heating system to serve the needs of the three charities that are housed within the building for years to come.
The Costello Community Care Centre has successfully qualified for a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to replace the shingles and vents on the south side of the building. With the Ontario Trillium Foundation funds, the CCCC can ensure that the building will have an extended life for the roof. This will help to serve the needs of the three charities that are housed within the building for years to come.

St. Anthony Of Padua Parish and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Timmins
The St. Anthony of Padua Parish has been supporting the Costello Community Care Centre from its inception in 2005. Without the Diocese of Timmins and St. Anthony’s parish’s support, this worthwhile endeavor to help the needy within our community would have never got off the ground. St. Anthony’s of Padua Parish continues to support our cause and without this invaluable aid, the Costello Centre and the three charities would be hard pressed to be here today.
Realtors Care Ontario
Realtors Care Ontario supported the Costello Community Care Centre in 2010, 2013 and 2014. Their donations have been used to assist the CCCC to cover its operating costs and infrastructure maintenance program. Realtors Care Ontario has been supporting worthy projects in helping families in need and the CCCC truly appreciates their support so we can help ones in need in our community.

John Carl MacIsaac Foundation
The John Carl MacIssac Foundation has supported the CCCC in funding it’s infrastructure project. The upgrades have included the furnace replacement, electrical upgrades, washroom upgrades, security fencing and gate installation, lighting upgrades and refurbishment of the exterior of the building. The John Carl MacIsaac Foundation is based in the city of Sudbury and has supported charitable organizations since 1990. We are pleased and very thankful to be selected by the Foundation as a worthwhile charity to support for the years of 2011 through to 2022.
Goldcorp
It is great to see local businesses support community charities and Goldcorp is a excellent example of this fact. In October 2011, Goldcorp’s Board of Directors approved a new donations policy that establishes a target for donations of 1% of pre-tax earnings from operations. Goldcorp (Porcupine Gold Mines) has supported our charity in 2012 and 2014 by donating towards the CCCC’s Infrastructure Maintenance Project. The CCCC is extremely grateful that Goldcorp has chosen to support the CCCC.

Lake Shore Gold Corp supported the CCCC in 2012 and 2013 towards funding the CCCC’s Infrastructure Maintenance Project. Another great example of a local business continuing to support its community. Xstrata Copper Kidd Operations
The CCCC would like to acknowledge the financial support we received from Xstrata Copper Kidd Operations’ Community Partnership Program. Kidd Operations’ General Manager Tom Semadeni, and Community Relations Coordinator Carole Belanger presented the CCCC with $21,000 for the purchase and installation of a chair lift for our Centre which houses three charities on multiple levels- The Lord’s Kitchen, St. Martins de Porres (Timmins Food Bank) and St. Vincent de Paul. This generous donation will allow us to comply with provincial accessibility legislation and to ensure that our facility is fully accessible to all our clients and volunteers.
Xstrata Copper Kidd Operations recognized the CCCC’s long-term commitment to the community and its progressive Infrastructure Maintenance Program as part of a sustainable goal with the CCCC’s executive mandate. The CCCC recognizes the valuable contribution from Xstrata Copper Kidd Operations and shares the view that sustainability comes from within.

Father Costello Foundation
The Costello Community Care Centre received a helping hand from the Father Costello Foundation. Both groups were created based on the philosophy of the late Father Les Costello which was “Helping those in need” and in doing so the Costello Foundation keeping Father Les’s good deed alive. The donation will help the CCCC in it’s goal to complete the exterior repairs to the building as the steeple repairs is the next target. In doing so the CCCC will be there for years to come as a centre for all who need to get back on their feet. The CCCC appreciates the support of the Father Costello Foundation.
The City of Timmins
The City of Timmins has provided the Costello Community Care Centre with funding for the resurfacing of the 2 walls of the outside of the building. This has enabled the CCCC to complete all outside wall repairs and resurfacing within the last two years. An aggressive accomplishment to ensure the building’s integrity continues without fail. The CCCC would like to gratefully acknowledge the assistance from the City of Timmins and from the staff at City Hall to complete this task in a extremely efficient manner.

Timmins Economic Development Corporation (TEDC)
The Timmins Economic Development Corporation (TEDC) is a non-profit organization that provides bilingual services to entrepreneurs, business people and community groups. We are a one-stop source of market information for business and industry, and act as catalysts for community and business development and retention initiatives for the municipality.
The Community Economic Development team liaises with organizations, non-profits, government officials, and citizens to help coordinate, initiate and manage community infrastructure projects that will benefit or make the city more attractive to potential residents and investors.
The CCCC is truly impressed with the dedicated and professional staff at the TEDC. With their help as a consultative role, the CCCC has been able to focus on our fundraising initiatives and the TEDC has been instrumental in aiding the CCCC in communicating with government agencies for appropriate applications for funding and grants. The TEDC expertise in this manner has been priceless in helping the CCCC board in achieving its goals.

Prudent’s Roofing Ltd.
Prudent Roofing has completed roof repairs to the building and has provided part of that work pro bono (public good). This assistance is greatly appreciated as the CCCC can take advantage of that cost saving measure and implement the savings towards the operational costs of the building. In 2012, they helped with repairs caused by wind damage and donated the cost of the work ($4500.00). We would like to acknowledge that this is appreciated as maintaining a building of this size is not easy and everyone contributing to the end goal of helping the community is what it is all about.

Northern Windows and Doors
Northern Windows and Doors has supported the CCCC in funding it’s infrastructure project in 2015 and 2016 through a charity auction. The last major upgrade was the dismantling of the steeple top portion attached to the building. Northern Windows and Doors is based in the city of Timmins (Schumacher). We are pleased and very thankful to have local business support our charity.

Newmont Porcupine donates $20,000 to the Costello Community Care Centre – April 11-2023

$20,000 to members of The Costello Community Care Centre (CCCC). The funds
support the organization with costs directly associated to the completion of a steel
shingle roof and eavestrough replacement on the CCCC building located on 85 Spruce
Street North in Timmins.

centrally located hub serving the most vulnerable in our community. We recognize the
importance of this facility and the instrumental services it offers. Our contribution to this
